The electronica & ProductronicaChina event is the leading regional trade show for electronic elements and assemblies and electronics production in China. It takes place each March in conjunction with LASER. World of Photonics China in Shanghai. Messe Mnchen International (MMI, Munich Trade Fairs International Group) organizes electronica & ProductronicaChina as part of its MMI electronics trade fairs network, which includes electronica and Productronica, which are the worlds leading trade shows in their industry sectors. The network also includes premier regional trade shows in Brazil, Hong Kong and India. With a total of over 8,000 exhibiting companies and more than 280,000 attendees for the MMI electronics trade fairs, MMI is one of the world''s leading trade show organizers in this sector.
General Information
Reflecting the rapid growth of electronics and laser industries in China, electronica&ProductronicaChina in 2008 will have a 30% increase in terms of total exhibition space compared with the previous year; As for LASER China 2008, the total space will almost be doubled, partly owing to the special event – German World of Laser & Photonics, sponsored by German government, which will showcase the most updated technologies, achievements and products in optics and laser industries by the leading German companies. In addition to the show, China Electronics Summit, a high level communication platform for entrepreneurs, journalists and government officials, will again be held concurrently to the show. Besides there are also various high-level technical conferences in the fields of tele-communications, automotive, laser processing and so on. In 2008, for the first time, electronica&ProductronicaChina and LASER. China will be held under the new umbrella of Shanghai International IT & Electronics Exposition SIIEE, which consists of two other renowned electronics show, namely, SEMICON China and CPCA. Altogether SIIEE will use 10 halls and a half in SNIEC, having a total exhibition space of more than 120,000 square meters, making it a biggest cluster of electronics shows in China. Being part of Shanghai International Informatization Expo, creating a bigger platform Sponsored by Shanghai Informatization Committee and Shanghai of Pudong New Area Government, SIIEE targets to become the most influential IT and electronics trade fair in the region. With the participation of electronica&ProductronicaChina, SEMICON China and CPCA China, SIIE will produce a better and bigger platform showcasing the whole China’s electronics industry chain in a most comprehensive way. electronica&ProductronicaChina and LASER China breaking Record Benefiting from the growth of the global electronics industry and the tremendous investment in China triggered by 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2010 Shanghai World Expo, experts predict that the Chinese electronics market is expected to grow at a rate of 20% over the next five years. Relying on such a favorable market background, both electronica&ProductronicaChina and LASER. World of Photonics China grows dramatically compared with the previous edition. The exhibition space of electronica&Productronica is expected to reach 23,000 sqm in 2008, up 30% than last year. electronica&ProductronicaChina has shown its strong appeal to the industry leaders including Tyco electronics, Infineon, Avago, Fuji, Semikron, Mitsubishi, Epcos, Rittal and Truly, OMRON. At the same time, lots of new exhibitors swarmed into electronica&ProductronicaChina, such as Panasonic, Jidian, MacMic, CHONGQING KINGSUN, TDG Technology and CHU LUN MACHINERY. In addition with the joint pavilions from Germany, UK, Japan, Korea and Taiwan, electronica&ProductronicaChina 2008 proves to be the largest edition since its inauguration in 2002.
