Mingtai was established in 1946 by the 1st generation as a import and export company dealing mainly with Hong Kong.
In 1960, 2nd generation took over expanding the trade to include Taiwan. The products included canned goods, white fungus and dried longans.
In 1975, it was moved to a modern n bigger outlet to included retailing over n above the import and export trade. By 1992, the retail business has grown and the company increased its outlets to a total of 3.
In.1998, a specialised chinese medical outlet was added in to boost the total to 4.
In 2006, when the 3rd generation took over. A Trading/Sourcing Office was set up to facilitate trade to and from mainland china. The Company's primary business objective is the import and export trade. It hopes to establish an international trading arm within 2 years. Sales has risen throught the years to reach SGD1.8 million in 2007. A 15 fold increase since it was established in 1946.
A competent team of colleages has been put in place and we aim to hit SGD5 million sales by 2010.
