Vacuum Formed Ceramic Fibre Shapes

Plugs are used for controlling the cut-off and let-off of molten aluminium during transfer, such as the mouth of launders and furnace.
AR Castable

Clayburn AR is a fused silica castable refractory non-wetting to molten aluminium and its alloys. It can float in aluminium featuring high strength and excellent resistance to erosion and mechanical damage. Available as pre-cast shapes or bagged castable.
31/60 Low Cement Castable

CLAYBURN LoCem 31/60 AL is a low iron, high alumina content castable featuring excellent hot strengths and abrasion resistance. Applications include aluminum melting furnace hearths, lower sidewalls and ramps, tap-out blocks, ladle linings and degassing boxes.

Recommended Usage Instructions:
Usual proportion is 1:3, i.e. 1 kg coating to 3 kg clean water, mixing well and evenly, coat with brush for two or three thin layers on re-heated linings or ladles ( do not brush too thickly).
