It is lavishly painted with vibrant colors, elaborate carvings, intricate gilding, the  innovative raised gesso designs and metal fittings are among the most striking features of Tibetan furniture. Mineral pigments in red, green, orange, blue, yellow, black, and gold were commonly used. Decorative motifs depicting Buddhist symbols such as the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha), the Eight auspicious symbols (lotus, endless knot, fishes, parasol, victory banner, vase, conch, wheel of Buddhist law), wealth or tranquility bestowing deities, power symbol creatures (intertwined dragon, lion, tiger, mystical qiling, or elephant, and birds), and the ritual offerings including flowers and fruits were vigorously abundant
