Chemical composition of vermiculite is Mgx(H2O) {Mg3-x[AISiO3O10](OH)2},Which is kind of silicon sour saline mineral subtance. it looks like mica. It formed by biotite and golden mica which is eroded and airslaked by hot liquied. It looks like bloodsucker after anhydration and inflation, so called it vermiculite. It is devided into raw vermiculite and inflation vermiculite according to time. meanwhile it is devided into golden, silver ,and white vermiculite according to colour

Main application
Raw vermiculite can expand and get original 4-10 of volume after roasting, The average desity for expanded vermiculite is 100~130kg/m3.It has a small amount of layer. So it is an excellent construction material for heat preservation ,insulates against heat, absorption, preventing frostbite. Industry filling, painting, and anti-fire. Inflation vermiculite is widely used to construction, mine, chemical, light industry, mechanism, power petroleum, environmental protection, and transportation department.
