It is stable in air and easy to dissolve in water and aqueous solution is slightly alkaline. Additionally, it is slightly dissolved in ethanol. Application: Food preservative, ( It is used as one of the principal antimicrobial and antifungal preservatives used in foods, beverages, cosmetic, dental care products, spice, tobacco , feedstuff and as raw material of plasticizer and pharmaceuticals) Antiseptic Medications, Tabletting Lubricant for Pharmaceutical. (It is also used in medications, anti-fermentation additives and tabletting lubricant for pharmaceuticals.) Dyes intermediate, Mildew Inhibitor, Tobacco. ( It may also be used as a test for liver function.
