White silica gel
Silica gel desiccant is made from amorphous silica, appears as a hard, semitransparent granular substance. Its adsorption efficiency is approximately 35% greater than typical desiccant clays
Blue silica gel
Self-indicating silica gels will adsorb moisture in exactly the same way as standard white silica gel, but they will literally indicate when they are becoming saturated by changing their color.
OUKPAK was developed to protect the product from damage caused by moisture. It will adsorb up to one third of its own weight in water vapour.
Characteristics:
It is non-toxic and non-flammable.
It can be regenerated and reused if required. Gently heating silica gel will drive off the adsorbed moisture and leave it ready for reuse.
It is most frequently and conveniently used packed in a breathable sachet or bag.
