What's LED backlight?

The backlight has to be installed on the back of LCD panel since LCD is not of characteristic of illuminating, the use of backlight makes LCD display reach full and colorful results, so the backlight has been opt electronic components of LCD display, that is to say, the backlight module is the key part of LCD display, and it is one kind of passive component which adheres to LCD display.
The development of backlight may be traced its source to World War Ⅱ period, the microminiaturize tungsten filament lamp had been used as the backlight of aero plane’s meter at that time, and this became the rudiment of backlight.
