Lutein & Zeaxanthin are antioxidants found in many plants and vegetables including red pepper and cabbage etc.. Lutein & Zeanxanthin are yellow pigment belongs to the carotenoid family. Although they are not categorized as a vitamin, dietary lutein & Zeanxanthin are believed to be essential nutrients for normal vision. Lutein & Zeaxanthin can lower the risk of age related vision loss by protecting the retina from damage of the photo-oxidative affect of blue light. Lutein & Zeaxanthin can reduce the oxidation of LDL cholesterol thereby reducing the risk of artery clogging.
