Titanium 6Al-2Sn-4Zr-2Mo, also known as 6-2-4-2, is an alpha-beta Titanium. Primarily used for its combination of tensile strength, creep strength, and Toughness, Ti 6-2-4-2 has good creep resistance up to 550°C and up to 0.1% Silicon is frequently added to further improve the creep resistance of the alloy. Ti 6-2-4-2 alloy is produced by primary melting under vacuum (VAR), electron Beam (EB) melting or plasma arc cold hearth melting (PAM). Primary melting is Followed by single or double vacuum arc re-melting (VAR).
