INCI Name: Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate

Features:

1. Water Solubility: MAP SL is completely water soluble and easily absorbed through the skin. Its water-solubility offers the formulator with formulating flexibility.

2. Stability: MAP SL is much more stable to heat and light than vitamin C. Experimental data showed that 3% aqueous solution of MAP SL maintained 90% of its activity after 6 months of storage in 40^o water bath.

3. Skin lightening effects: MAP SL exhibits a strong skin lightening effects which was shown useful in clinical practice. It has strong inhibitory effects on melanin formation therefore resulting in beautified, even-toned skin.

4. Radical Scavenger: once absorbed into the skin, MAP SL can act as a radical scavenger to eliminate radicals and remove the signs of wrinkles and aging.

5. Synergistic with vitamin E: MAP SL works synergistically with vitamin E.

6. Stable formulation: unlike other skin lightening agents such as hydroquinone, MAP SL is stable without color change problems.

7. Safety: MAP SL is very safe with no toxicity and irritation.
