Solubility: easy to dissolve in water and ammonia, the solubility increasing with temperature increment, reacting with hydrocarbons, alcohols, acids and aldehydes.
Conversion mode: it can not be hydrolyzed in any environment when the temperature is lower than 60℃. Its hydrolyzation speed increases rapidly when the temperature is higher than 110℃, and it converts into ammonium carbamate-salvolatile-ammonia and carbon dioxide. When heated to its melting point of 120℃-130℃, the solid carbamide begins to sublime and generates a condensation side product.
