Silver Needle tea is a well known white tea from China.Usually, the buds of "great white tea plant" are plucked to make white bud tea, such as: Yinzhen Baihao( Silver Needle). The bud and first two leaves (or only leaves) are plucked to make white leaf tea. The dry leaves of white tea have a silky texture from the fine white hairs that cover each shoot. Yinzhen Baihao(Silver Needle Baihao) and White Peony(Bai Mu Dan) are the most well known variety of white tea.
