Ring Pumps (TCK)

WORKING PRINCIPLE
TCK pumps are SELF-PRIMING LIQUID PUMPS. The impeller with numerous radial is housed inside the pump body, into which are machined the suction and delivery channels. The impeller blades are thus confine between the two precision-machined faces inside the pump body, which is closed off by the rear support. Water is centrifuged by the impeller, acquiring energy and creating a "liquid ring" which rotates together with the impeller. Each sector formed by successive radial blades creates a pumping action, generating Iow pressure in the suction channel and high pressure in discharge channel as the fluid passes rapidly through the purposely shaped openings. When first use, the pump must be filled with water. This enables the fluid ring to form and pumping action to start, which is necessary to serf-prime the pump. Air present in the suction piping is drawn in and expelled through the delivery opening, creating a vacuum that lifts water up the suction pipe and achieve self-priming.
