Our biodegradable starch plate/bowl/cup break down completely in 5-8 weeks and one thing we love is that it's safe for the environment.

In addition, it has a shelf life of five years, is heat-resistant and dishwasher safe.

Since these plate/bowl/cup are reusable, it seems to us they will be around for awhile, but like the others,

when they do wear out you can toss them in the compost pile.
