Because of the low toxicity, it is used as solvent of the spice, the food coloring in food industry.Usec as the solvent of concoction, ointment ,antiseptic ,Vitamin penicillin in the pharmaceutical industry ,.Also used as the tobacco wetting agent, the antiseptic, the fruit accelerate ripening antiseptic, the prevent frostbite fluid and the heat carrier and so on.1,2- trimethylene glycol also uses in making the unsaturated resin, the plasticizer, the surface active agent and so on.
