Tegafur (Ftorafur)

Chemical Name: Fluorouracil Furosemide
Role and Usage:
It is fluorouracil derivatives, no anti-tumor effect outside body , it plays the role mainly by turning out fluorouracil through liver. Its role is the same with Fluorouracil. Its chemotherapy index is 2 times as fluorouracil’s. It can cross blood-brain barrier. For gastric cancer, bile duct cancer, rectal cancer, colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer and head and neck cancer.
Dosage and Application:
Oral administration, 800mg ~ 1200mg / day, two to four times a sub-taking, treatment capacity of 20g ~ 40g. Intravenous drip, 1 time / day, 15mg ~ 20mg/kg dissolve in 5% glucose solution in 300ml ~ 500ml. Can be used to 60mg ~ 120mg/kg, 2 times / week. Rectal administration, suppository 500mg ~ 1000mg / day, 1 time / day.
Side effects:
The similar with Fluorouracil, but lighter.
