2-methylimidazol

2-methylimidazole, a kind of light yellow columnar or granular,crystay,absorbs moisture,dissolves easily in water and alcohol,but hardly in benzene.it is noxious and is of stimulation and erosion to skin and mucosa.
2-methylimidazole is chiefly used to produce the intermediate of metronidazole,used as the curing agent for epotherm ans the auxiliary agent for colourants of fibre textile as well.in addition,it can work as the additive agent in the production of polyfoam.
