Both ITO film and glass have a very thin conductive and metallic ITO layer coated on the PET film or glass. An electrical current runs through two layers while the display system is working. When user touches the screen, the two layers make contact in that location. The change in the electrical field is sent to the controller, which will calculate the location of the touch point.
