HID , full name is "high intnsity discharg lamp" ,is consist of fixxer and the lamp, the working principle is : the current DC12V increase to a high current 23000v instant by the fixxer, Acting the inert gases, the inert gas-es be ionizated,bringing the strong light, then the voltage be stablized at 85v, the gases be keep in ionization. so there is many advantage for HID.
1. strong light: the lighten of the standard halogen lamp is around 800LM, the lighten of the HID is 3000LM,SO it's 3 times more lighter than the former.
2. long life: the life of the HID is 3000 hours, instead of hours 500 hours for the standard halogen lamp,it's 6 times of the standard halogen lamp, and it is said the life of the car can be 15 years. (europe standard)
3. widly voltaage start up: start up in 8-18 v , with strong adaptability.
4. Energy Conservation: energy expenditure of the hid is 35v, energy expenditure of the halogen lamp ,it's 65v, so it can deduce the energy expenditure of the car.
