It IS colorless or white moisture absorptive tilted crystal, usually light yellow granule or powder, no odor, light salty.
Uses: It is used to make nitro-compound, caprolactam, p-aminophenol, azo dye, vulcanization accelerator, vanillic aldehyde.
Food grade sodium nitrite can be used to make color coupler for meat produces and antiseptic. It can be used to make canned meat and sausage.
