Product Introduction:
Rock wool board is a kind of mineral wool the manufacturing technique is choosing high quality basalt, diabase, dolomite, bauxite as raw materials, which are melted in high temperature cupola, the melted material flow through launder, and is converted into 4-7um fibers through high speed centrifugal equipment. Then add binder and dust laying oil into the fiber, and uniform settling in setting pocket. Finally be solidified in curing oven, and cut into different size of rock wool board.
Rock wool board doesn’t contain any asbestos, and doesn’t use environment harmful material like CFCs, HCFCs and HFCs. Rock wool board doesn’t do harm to human health, nor risk of carcinogenic.
Rock wool has non-combustibility, high melt point and porous structure, which make it excellent fireproof, thermal and acoustic insulation properties. Rock wool is widely used in building construction, industry and shipping etc, in order to increase energy efficiency, reduce pollutant discharge, increase fireproof safety. Besides, after adding some special composition, rock wool can be used as plant substrate for vegetables, fruit and flowers.
According to customer’s different request, glass wool board can be made with below special properties.
- High density rock wool board: the density can reach 300-500kg/m3, it has higher strength than normal rock wool board.
- Waterproof rock wool board: Adding moisture repel during producing, makes rock wool excellent water resistance, and overcomes the weakness of normal rock wool board that is insulation failure after water absorption. It is widely used in damp area that has high request for water resistance such as shipping, partition wall, air conditioning pipelines, sound absorption equipment etc.

Product Features:
- Thermal insulation: thermal insulation is the basic property of rock wool products, the thermal conductivity is 0.03~0.040W/(m.K) in normal temperature(25C)
- Combustibility: rock wool is inorganic fiber, non-combustibility. The grade is Non-combustibility A1.
- Acoustic insulation: rock wool has excellent sound absorption property, the reason is it has porous structure, when sound wave go through rock wool, the friction creates because of the flow resistance, and some sound energy is absorbed by the fiber, and sound wave is blocked.
- Chemical property: high acidity coefficient, excellent chemical stability and fiber durability.
- Physical property: low density, excellent machinability.

- Petrochemical industry: thermal and acoustic insulation for equipments of petroleum, electrical power, chemical industry
- Building construction: thermal and acoustic insulation for partition wall, curtain wall, roof and building envelope.
- Mining industry: fireproof and thermal insulation for industrial furnaces, ovens, large caliber tanks etc.
