BST/MDS blood culture system is a fully automated blood culture, body fluid culture and microbe detection system designed to test the blood or body fluid specimens for microbial growth.

We released our BST/MDS blood culture system in 2012, and got the registration certificate for our BST/MDS blood culture system in 2012 also.

Inoculate the patient's blood or body fluid into the aerobic culture bottle and/or anaerobic culture bottle, and load the culture bottles in the automated blood culture instrument, the instrument will shock, incubate and monitor the bottles continuously. We will get the culture results in the set detection period. The screen will report the positive results when the instrument detects the bottles are positive. If there is no microbe growth sign in the bottles when the detection period is over, the bottles are determined negative.

The blood culture system processes each blood culture bottle independently, and we may load and test new blood culture bottles at any time.

At present we offer two blood culture system models: BST/MDS-60 and BST/MDS-100 with 60 and 100 bottles capacity.

BST/MDS Blood Culture System Features

Applications: to test the aerobic bacteria, anaerobic bacteria and fungi at the hospitals, disease control centers, food industry, customs inspection, medical universities, and science research institutions
Testing principle: coloration method
Functions: continuous incubation, fully automated monitor and judge positive culture and negative culture
Positive judgement criteria: threshold method, slope method and double speed method
Alarm foundation: microbe growth velocity and acceleration
Incubation detection period: to be set by the operator, and at most 7 days

System capacity: 60/100 bottles for each standard BST/MDS-60/100 system, and at most 2 culture boxes with 60/100 bottles can be added, with the total capacity of 180/300 bottles
Detection method: the system automatically reads the color data of the sensor at the bottom of each bottle every 10 minutes and creates the time and data corresponding changing curve
Interpretation method: according to the bacterial growth model at prophase, metaphase and saturated phase, the data is analyzed for start value, speed, acceleration, etc.
Test specimens range: blood, sterile body fluid and mycobacterium tuberculosis
Optical detectors: the system offers an independent optical detector for each bottle, and each bottle has an independent sensor
Bottles placed in: free to load and unload the culture bottle
