Part One: How to make the lubricating grease?
 
  Take the Lithium Grease for an example,it uses Lithium soap as the thickener.Thickener is one kind of compound to thicken lubricant oil to be viscous paste.How can we make Lithium Grease?

  Firstly,lithium hydroxide and fatty acid make saponification reaction to get lithium soap.Due to temperature rising,the lithium soap becomes soap liquid.Then add cooling oil (base oil) into the soap liquid to cool it.
 
Part Two:Production equipment:
1.Major equipment: saponification reactor, blending reactor, cooling device, cutter, homogenizer, degassing tank, vacuum pump, filter, thermal oil heaters, pumps, pipeline valves.
(1)Saponification reactor:
(2)Cooling device:It is one kind of cooling device.It plays a role on fully dispersing,mixing and cooling.Though control flow of soap liquid and cooling oil,it is to achieve the desired temperature.In short,it is able to evenly mix hot soap and cooling oil and get finished grease.  The commonest device is the static type two-chamber mixer quenched.
(3)Blending reactor: it is the ultimate device for mixing soap (thickener) and base oil.Its function is to make grease,cool,adjust thick degree,add additives,and colorize.
(4)Cutter:It is the most simple homogeneous devices, the cheapest equipment and low efficiency.The most common type cutter is the tapered hole cutter,with single cone, twenty cones, forty or fifty cones and so on.
(5)Homogenizer:Compared with the cutter,the former is used as a rough homogenizing device and the latter as a more elaborate final homogeneous machine.But because the cutter is about 20 times cheaper than the homogenizer,to reduce costs,some factory only uses cutters when they start to make grease.In this case,it takes more time to cut down grease for cutter’s low efficiency.
It is noted that,some factory uses colloidal mill or three roller mill to grind lubricatingg grease.In fact, both the two machines are not included in one whole set of lubricating grease plant.Due to their low working capacity,they can not be used in a big capacity production line.However,also due to their cheap price and easy operation,the two machines are used in small yard or used to separately grind some unfinished grease.
(6)Filter:
(7)Vacuum degassing tank:During grease production,the air easily enter into the grease to make a turbid appearance and affect grease transparency.(But the air does not affect grease usage.)The common device is the degassing tank.Firstly,evacuate the tank to -0.08 Mpa,then add lubricating grease into the tank.During adding,the air escapes from the grease to achieve the purpose of degassing.
(8)Filling machine:there are two methods:hot packing and cold packing.
 (A) Hot-packing: Pack grease during grease production.The grease temperature is above 60 degree .
 (B) Cold-packing:Put hot grease into a 200L barrel and move the barrel to packing workshop.When the grease is cooled to make smaller package. There 500g, 800g, 1000g drums.
(9)Thermal oil furnace:
 
Part Three:Optional equipment:saponification reactor and blending reactor
