Compared with conventional ultrasonic drilling, RUD revolutionizes the whole sector both in reducing the cost and in improving the efficiency. Rotary Ultrasonic Drilling (RUD), a hybrid drilling process combining the material removal mechanisms of diamond grinding and ultrasonic machining, has the potential to do so.
