Pneumatic rubber fender(or inflatable rubber fender) is the advanced anti-collision device for marine application in the world today,it has a long and successful history of protecting vessels in mooring operations. They are ideal for permanent and semi-permanent port applications and for offshore ship-to-ship transfers.
Pneumatic rubber fenders uses compressed air as medium to absorb the impact energy when ship-to-ship contact (STS) and ship-to-berthing (STB).
Comparing with traditional bumper style rubber fender, it has the following advantages:

3. less weight, easy installation

5. Less surface pressure onto the side wall of ships. (The capability of accepting surface pressure of the fender is up to 14 ton/m2).

8. Suitable in cold weather because the compressed air as buffering medium.
9. Especially in mooring of large scale ships in sea docks and lightering.
10. Maintains large clearances between hull and structure.
