Silk powder (silk fibrin powder) is a kind of macromolecular silk fibrin in powder form, which is made from the silk
fibrin degummed under high pressure, requires special craft processing and smash through physical methods. Its molecular weight of is about 250000-300,000D. It is tasteless, odorless, slightly soluble in water and insoluble in alcohol either.
Because of the special structure of decreasing the reflective light, the silk powder can be applied into cosmetics based on mica powder to reflect the real & soft color naturally. Compared with talcum powder or titanium white powder, the silk powder has excellent character of air permeability so that it is suitable for make-ups, such as the facial powder or rouge etc.
The silk powder is hygroscopic, permeability, it can be added to coatings, plastics, leather, chemical fiber to improve the feel and permeability, make the brightening color.
