Chemical Property	Insoluble in water, soluble in acid and alkali, and slowly soluble in acetic acid and ammonia water. Strong reducibility, producing hydrogen when reacting with acid and alkali. Caking when affected by damp, stable in dry air, producing white subcarbonate which covers the surface in damp air. When burning in the air, it produces bluegreen flame, and produces zinc oxide. Zinc powder with high purity reacts slowly with sulfuric acid and nitric acid, and the reaction speeds up when it contains other metals such as steel, tin and lead.
