The intelligent water meter has the function of automatic fee -charging. The user paid to the water administrative department in advanced, the staff of the water administrative department inputs the data of purchased water volume into the IC card, then the user takes the IC card to home and swipes it on the induction area of the water meter (for inputting the information of the IC card into the intelligent water meter) and water will supply. During the period of water supply, the built-in microcomputer of the water meter will automatically check and subtract the used water volume. When the purchased water is used up, the intelligent water meter will cut off water automatically, and the user needs to buy water again. IC card can also records the operation condition of the water meter and manage the total used water volume, total purchased volume and the state of opening and closing of the valve by the control computer or control software.
