Synthesis of hydrogen chloride(HCl) by burning hydrogen gas(H2) and chlorine gas(Cl2) in graphite HCl acid synthesis units/furnace has proved to be an economical and reliable operation. This is true particularly in those processes where chlorine gas(Cl2) is produced as a by-product or where hydrogen chloride(HCl) or hydrochloric acid(HCl acid) is required for on-site use. Typical uses of HCl acid synthesis units/furnace occur in brine electrolysis, vinyl chloride manufacture, paper and pulp production and various metallurgical processes.

Hydrochloric Acid/HCl Acid Synthesis unit demonstrate their capability in operation through their unquestioned advantages:

    - Hydrochloric Acid/HCl Acid Synthesis unit can produce hydrochloric acid(HCl acid) in a concentration of 1 to 40 % HCl acid from chlorine(Cl2) and hydrogen(H2), using water or weak hydrochloric acid(HCl acid) as the absorbing liquid.
- Hydrochloric acid can be produced to any specification, ranging from technical or chemical quality to foodstuffs quality.
    - Chlorine residual gas can be combusted together with the concentrated Cl2 gas and H2 gas to produce HCl.
    - Weak acid can be fed into the absorber as absorbing liquids and brought up to the required acid concentration.
    - The energy can be recovered in the form of steam or hot water by suitable adaptation of the combustion chamber.
