Pipe repair bandages are resin-soaked fibreglass wraps which are water activated. Once doused with water, they will begin to harden. after less than 30 minutes, the bandage will have set to provide a rock hard, impact resistant layer over the repair around which it has been wrapped.

how to use it?

Read thoroughly before opening the package

* for best results, abrade the pipe with sandpaper or file and clean the surface. the prepared area should be approximately 3 to 4 times the size of the damaged area.
* Using gloves, remove bandages from the package. Immerse in temperate water for 4-6 seconds.
* Wrap tightly and quickly,using entire roll extend approx. 5 to 8cm above and below the damaged area.
* Wet gloves in water,squeeze and mold tape in the direction of the wrap until resin stops foaming and is set.
* Wait 30min for ANSEN Bandage to set rock-hard.

HINTS and TIPS:
* A clean, rough surface helps result in a successful repair.
* after pouch is opened, the bandage will start to set when exposed to moisture in the atmosphere; therefore, it is important to work as quickly as possible.
* ANSEN Bandage has a 3-5 minute work life, with full cure in 30 minutes. Water temperature can affect the bandage cure time. Colder water can result in a slower curing time, warmer water temperatures can result in a faster cure time.
* Large applications may require multiple bandages.
